1. Your information

You can browse without an account. Apple or Google sign-in shares the identity details you authorize, such as your account ID, name, email, and profile photo. Email sign-up stores your name, email and protected password credentials. Your comments show your name and photo, never your email.

2. How we use it

We store account details, saved favorites, comments, business and event submissions, uploaded images and information you provide in those submissions to operate the service. Listing content you choose to publish is public. Basic request data, such as your IP address and browser details, helps us deliver and protect the website and native iPhone and Android apps.

3. Sharing

Apple, Google, Cloudflare Turnstile, our image storage and email services, and hosting providers process data needed to run the service under their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal information. We may share information when required by law or needed to protect users and the service.

4. Cookies and security

We use a secure cookie to keep you signed in. Apple, Google and Cloudflare may also use cookies. We use encrypted connections and access controls, but no online service is completely secure.

5. Retention and your choices

Sign out anytime or delete your own comments. To delete your account, open Account → Delete account in either native app, use account settings, or follow the link below. Sign in and confirm to remove your account, sessions, sign-in methods, saved items, comment text, events and businesses you own alone. Photos belonging to deleted businesses are queued for deletion from image storage. Shared businesses remain with their other owners, with your access removed. Comment placeholders may remain to preserve other people’s replies. If you use Apple, you may need to verify it again so we can revoke Apple access before deletion.

Delete your SFMongols account

Security logs and backups may remain as needed for security, legal obligations and normal backup rotation. Copies already received by other users, such as email notifications, cannot be recalled. Installation analytics are separate from your account. They do not identify your account and are not linked to it.

For account access, corrections, deletion help or privacy questions, email hello@sfmongols.com. We may ask you to verify your identity.

6. Analytics and embedded media

The website uses our OpenPanel analytics service to measure page views, outgoing link use and basic technical information. The native apps send a random installation identifier, a random event identifier, the platform and the selected main tab. The native relay does not forward your account, email, search terms, cookies, IP address or precise location to OpenPanel. Hosting providers still receive connection details needed to deliver the service. These analytics help us understand usage and improve the service; native installation identifiers are not advertising identifiers or used for tracking across other companies’ apps.

Stories may load embedded videos, maps or images from services such as YouTube and Google Maps. When this content loads, the provider receives your connection details and may use its own cookies or storage under its privacy policy. Opening an external link shares your request with that destination.

7. Children and updates

Commenting is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, do not sign in or submit personal information. Policy updates will appear here with a new revision date.
